Ukrainian environmental messengers

Lots of flash and splash from Ukrainian pop diva Ruslana, who was recently interviewed on America's NPR network:

Meanwhile, Stepan Pasicznyk, a.k.a. Ludwig, delivers a similar message in a typically British no-nonsense, direct fashion.

Hopefully, their messages will hit home with someone during this Earth Week.

While I think that Stepan is very talented, he is not pursuing his music with an angle to be marketed.

He has the talent, he has the message but there is no marketing plan. Much like The Ukrainians who have their niche market and cater almost exclusively to it.

Yes, I agree Stepan is amazingly talented.

He produced my program's intro theme, for which I am eternally grateful. I have all his albums and am always delighted to give him airplay on Nash Holos.

His music is unique in that it is quite avant-garde, yet he somehow always manages to keep it true to his roots. Wonderful stuff!
